Add Comcast/NBC to the growing list of Hall of Shame slime-balls.
The Hall of Shame has become crowded with American companies and corporations bent on the destruction of American ideals.
Among the most left-leaning companies in the country is Comcast, the main thrust behind the most obnoxious and deceitful media outlets in the world: NBC/MSNBC.
MSNBC’s cadre of America-haters and America-bashers needs no introduction; its hateful ongoing stream of bile is legend and features black racist, Jew-hater, demagogue and white people hatemonger Al Sharpton.
Frankly, because this is America and because I am a staunch advocate of the freedoms we conservatives cherish and enjoy, I am a defender of Comcast’s employees to make asses of themselves. But what I will NEVER condone is the liberals’ deceitful and sickening attempts to make you and me pay for it.
I am NOT an advocate of the concept of welfare. I am a champion of CHARITY, but not of taxation or any other form of forced conscription of my money which is in turn handed to someone who never worked for it, doesn’t ever want to work and likely never will.
THAT is the mainstay of liberalism: giving someone else’s money to people who don’t deserve it. And even if they do because they’re temporarily down, shouldn’t it still be my right (and yours) to decide whether or not to give away OUR money?
Comcast apparently doesn’t agree, and hence they’re now a member of the Hall of Shame.
Following is a letter Comcast mailed to people (at least in Florida). While the bold italics (and upper case) are mine, the text is unaltered. The explanation will follow
On (date omitted), Comcast will start encrypting Limited Basic service on your cable system.
- If you have a digital set—top box, digital adapter (DTA) or retail CableCARDT device connected to each of your TVs, you will be unaffected by this change. However, if you are currently receiving Comcast’s Limited Basic service on any TV without equipment supplied by Comcast, you will lose the ability to view any channels on that TV.
- If you are affected, you should contact Comcast at 1—855—860—8989 to arrange for the equipment you need to continue receiving your services. In such case, you are entitled to receive equipment at no additional charge or service fee for a limited period of time. The number and type of devices you are entitled to receive, and for how long, will vary DEPENDING ON YOUR SITUATION:
- If you are a Limited Basic customer and receive the service on your TV without Comcast—supplied equipment, you are entitled to up to two devices for two years (FIVE YEARS IF YOU ALSO RECEIVE MEDICAID).
- If you subscribe to a higher level of service and receive Limited Basic service on a secondary TV without Comcast—supplied equipment, you are entitled to one device for one year.
You can learn more about this equipment offer and eligibility at comcast.com/digitaladapterinfo or by calling 1—855—860—8989. To qualify for any equipment at no additional charge or service fee, you must request your equipment between (date omitted) and (date omitted) and satisfy all other eligibility requirements.
To order equipment, or for more information, call 1—855—860—8989 or visit comcast.com/digitaladapterinfo.
So what does all this mean?
It means that Comcast will now charge for what was previously free of charge. Fine. That’s their right. For those who object the option is always there to refuse to pay and leave Comcast.
But the thing that grabbed me and should also anger you is the “Medicaid” bit!
ALTHOUGH GOVERNMENT DOES THIS ALL THE TIME, COMCAST, A PRIVATE COMPANY, HAS DECIDED TO CHARGE PEOPLE FOR A SERVICE AND GIVE IT AWAY TO OTHERS FOR FREE.
I WILL DECIDE — NOT COMCAST! — to whom I give my money!
Those receiving Medicaid are ALLEGEDLY the ‘needy’ — the poor — the unfortunate. So tell me Comcast, how the HELL — and WHY THE HELL — these people should get or can afford cable TV in the first place.
Comcast is one of the most left-leaning companies in America, so the question is rhetorical and the answer obvious.
But the point is that Comcast has set a very dangerous precedent.
Now we see a private company raising money by increasing fees and handing someone else’s money to those it chooses.
Comcast, welcome to the LibsRNuts.com Hall of Shame!
And now for a special treat, let’s have a look at Comcast’s star — it’s ‘stellar’ MSNBC star — racist Al Sharpton — in action.
